ILARIA CAVECCHIA - view the publications

Born in Turin on 1978, 21st of February, she graduated with honors from the University of Turin with a thesis entitled "Susceptibility study of Plasmodium falciparum isolates and pharmacodynamic observations in vivo". 
She specialized in infectious diseases in December 2007 with honors with thesis entitled "Retrospective study on the incidence, etiology and antibiotic resistance profiles of isolated bacteria during bacteremia in patients undergoing allogeneic transplantation of hematopoietic stem cells and prophylaxis with levofloxacin". In March 2006 she obtained her postgraduate diploma in Tropical Medicine & International Health at the Prince Leopold Institute in Antwerp (Belgium).
From October 2008 to April 2009 senior registrar at  Ospedale Civile di Chivasso (TO).
From April 2009 to January 2012 senior registrar at the Pediatric Emergency Department of Regina Margherita Children's Hospital in Turin.
From January 2012 to August 2018 senior registrar in Sub-intensive Care Unit,  Regina Margherita Children's Hospital in Turin.
From September 2018 to August 2019 consultant at the Regina Margherita Children's Hospital in Turin.
From September 2018 to June 2022 Pediatrics consultant at ASL TO4, Turin.
She has collaborated with several NGOs on the implementation of medical culture and health resources in developing countries.
Since 2018 she has been involved in the study of the microbiota by speaking at numerous national congresses and since November 2022 she’s responsible for the Clinical Microbiomics Center of the Koelliker Hospital in Turin.

 

MARIAROSARIA MATERA - view the publications

Was born in a small town near Salerno in Italy on February 3, 1974. Attended the University of Siena where, in July 1998 she graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery and in November 2003 she specialized with honors in Pediatrics. In December 2017 at the "La Sapienza" University of Rome obtained the II level Master's Degree in Neonatology with honors.
In 2003 started working at the Misericordia Hospital in Grosseto for 4 years in the Pediatrics department, for the next 15 in the Neonatal Intensive Care Department where, from 2016 to 2022, was responsible for the Human Milk Bank REBLUD Tuscany Section of Grosseto. Currently she works in the Pediatric Emergency Department.
Attended numerous internships and acquired skills in neonatal resuscitation, cardiac, cerebral, pulmonary ultrasound, ultrasound guidance for cannulation of vascular lines and neonatal assistance according to the NIDCAP method. Acquired the "Precthl Method on Qualitative Evaluation of General Movements" and Bayley-III certifications. From 2013 to 2022  was responsible for newborn screenings, from 2015 was responsible for the follow-up of preterm infants, from 2019  was responsible for neonatal/pediatric cardiology pathways and from 2021 was responsible for neurodevelopment.
From 2017 began to be interested in microbiomics following the training course of the Mymicrobiota school of Dr. Francesco Di Pierro; with passion began to integrate microbiomics into daily clinical practice for prophylactic and therapeutic purposes until starting in 2020 an outpatient hospital activity of Pediatric Clinical Microbiomics.

 

MASSIMILIANO CAZZANIGA - view the publications

Dr. MASSIMILIANO CAZZANIGA has worked since 1995 at the European Institute of Oncology (IEO) founded and directed by Professor Umberto Veronesi. Permanently employed in the Division of Prevention and Oncological Genetics (with professional experience in General Surgery and Breast Medicine) he is one of the leading experts in clinical breast and breast cancer prevention with particular attention to the therapeutic and preventive use of nutraceutical and phytotherapeutic compounds in the oncological field as well as the recent interest in the influence determined by the microbiota always in the preventive and therapeutic oncological field. Graduated in 1995 from the University of Milan, he obtained a Masters in Breast Medicine with specialization in Medical Oncology in 2002.

Awarded in 2004 as best researcher of the year, he is the author of a hundred publications in important international scientific journals. He has been Clinical Coordinator and Co-Principal and Principal Investigator of numerous scientific studies of international relevance since 1999 at the IEO in Milan.

Speaker at numerous national and international scientific congresses, he actively collaborates with the SIS (Italian School of Breast Cancer), FONCAM (National Force on Breast Cancer), AIRC (Italian Association for Cancer Research), LILT (Italian League for the Fight against Tumors), FIRC (Italian Foundation for Cancer Research).

The main activity carried out by Dr. Cazzaniga is the ONCOLOGICAL - BREAST one, therefore with relative clinical and instrumental diagnostic activity (ultrasound scans and biopsies in particular) but with particular attention to the PREVENTIVE aspect, therefore also involving lifestyle, nutrition and the possible use of nutraceutical compounds complementary to oncological treatments. He has recently developed interest and studies on the world of the microbiota in particular on its impact on the onset and progression of various oncological pathologies (in particular breast and gynecological) with execution as a speaker of numerous courses, FAD, congresses, webinars and publications on 'subject. The objective of this integration is to offer a complete assessment of the risk of disease and to build together with the patients a path of prevention/therapy/controls aimed at the personal needs of each one, obviously including the microbial structure as well.



ALEXANDER BERTUCCIOLI - view the publications

Born in Rimini, he began his work experience in the metalworking sector at the age of 14, working and studying until he obtained a diploma as a technician in the mechanical industry, he obtained second-level European diplomas as a Process and Product Management Technician and Network and Data Management Technician continuing to work full-time in order to access university studies. He obtained his first degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technologies with a focus on fitness and health products at the University of Camerino, followed by a Master's degree in Molecular, Health and Nutritional Biology at the University of Urbino, followed by a Master's degree in Medicine and surgery at the Marche Polytechnic University and sciences and techniques of preventive and adapted motor activities at the San Raffaele University in Rome. In the first edition, he obtained the first level university Master's degree in scientific communication at the University of Parma. At the same time he obtained numerous Feder CONI diplomas as a technician of various sports disciplines, the fellowship of the European Sport Nutrition Society and became an aggregate member of the Italian Sports Medical Federation.
From 2015 to 2022 he is a contract professor for the course: "Anthropometric evaluation laboratory" (MED-49), from 2017 to today he is a contract professor for the course "Applied dietary science and techniques" (MED-49) at the University of Urbino. Lecturer at second level Masters and specialization courses at the University of Camerino, the University of Siena and the University of Pavia.

He has been working since 2010 as a Nutritionist in private facilities, sports clubs, national teams and in the direct management of national and international athletes. He deals with sports nutrition and clinical nutrition, participating in the preparation and management of competitive competitions reaching the Olympic level and in the management of expeditions and competitions in extreme environments (from the arctic to the desert).

Since 2011 he has been involved in research in the nutritional, nutraceutical and anthropometric fields, starting to deal with probiotics and the study of the microbiota in 2016 mainly declined in the nutritional, metabolic and sports fields.
